Humans of WCTA was created shot and put together by the Photography 3 students at West Tech. Humans of WCTA was heavily inspired by Humans of New York, which began in the summer of 2010. Humans of New York was started to create an "exhaustive catalohue of New York City's inhabitants." Humans of New York simply started as a goal to photograph 10,000 New Yorkers and plot their photos on a map. It quickly turned into something more when Brandon, the creator of Humans of New York, started having conversations with the people he was photographing and started collection quotes and short stories from those people he met. He started adding snippets alongside the photographs, together they became subject of a brilliant blogging idea. Here at West, we wanted to create and publish our own stories of our own students, showing off how diverse and cultured our campus really is.
