I have a lot of superstitions, but one of them is, if you stook chopsticks in the middle of the rice, someone close to you would past away, this is a common superstition for many people in Asia, and it represents incense sticks. My family believed in this superstition for a long time. I was skeptical as a kid so I did not take any risk or chances. To this day, I never tried to stick any utensils in the middle of a bowl with food.
