What is your favorite artist?

Ethan’s favorite artist is Melanie Martinez because she addresses subjects that popular artists don’t usually consider to be a central idea for their songs. She took a risk by being a controversial artist, and it worked out in her favor. Her album is solely based on an individual character, but people that listen to her for the first time have the misconception that the album is based on her life. Outside audiences often judge her clothing style, decorations, and music solely on the surface of the appearance and don’t bother deciphering the meaning behind it. Confusions and misconceptions are the reason Melanie will most likely not be a mainstream artist.
