What is your favorite quote, and why?

My favorite quote is, “I have found that if you love life, life will love you back,” by Arthur Rubinstein. I have a habit of looking at things with a negative perspective, the trash on the ground, the smog above the city, the way some people treat others, etc. Then I go home and I look at the bad in me too. Although, when I start looking at things positively, Arthur Rubinstein was right. I look around myself and instead of looking at the trash in the park, I look at the sparkling trees, instead of looking at the smog in the air, I look at the sky and the puffy pink clouds, and instead of looking at how bad people treat people, I go over to my friends and I treat them like they’re important and I say, without them, the world wouldn’t be that great, not even a little. I go home and instead of looking at the bad parts of me, I look at the good, as hard as that can be. After a while it gets easy to look around and develop (no pun intended) a love for the world because you’re constantly reminding yourself, what’s not to love? I guess that's why i’m in photography; to capture the moments in life that make you love life a little more. People say “life happens,” but that’s not true, you make your life what you want it to be, nothing just happens-especially not life. Even if you’ve had a rough past or math is driving you insane, life is what you believe it to be and if you love the life you’ve created, it will love you right back
