Have you traveled somewhere that has inspired you?

I have traveled to South Africa twice because both my parents were born and raised there. The way they live there is so different than how we live in America. There is actually a lot of cities and people living healthy lives, but there are also a lot of hills covered in huts with families living in them that don’t get enough food or water. In the city I stayed in, which was Durban, they would have this thing called load shedding. The power would randomly go out for about two hours a day and the water would stop. Whenever this would happen I would think of how fortunate I am to live the way I do and how I never really think about how some people in the world aren’t able to access fresh water or electricity. I guess it caused me to be more appreciative of what I have.
