Growing up, my family has been the most supportive people in my life and a memory I will never forget was when they helped me before/after I had multiple surgeries. I was born with a cleft palate, and I had multiple surgeries to fix it. At a young age, I never wanted to be alone, and at least one member of my family would stay with me. After surgery, they helped me learn how to speak clearly without having any complications, and they made sure that I didn’t feel uncomfortable when it came to public speaking.
