The hardest trial I have gone through in life is when my mom had cancer. At the time I was pretty young and I did not understand the severity of it until my mom started going through all the surgeries and I noticed a change in her personality. I remember waking up the morning of her last surgery and seeing her and my dad gone and I was left with my grandma. I remember going downstairs and seeing a note from my mom that said she loved me and she would be back soon. That late afternoon my mom came home and she had had a successful surgery. Going through this really helped me realize that everyday is not promised and I should take risks and try to live the best life I can.
