My sister was attending west, and frequently talked about how much she loved her program. Now I’ve taken on after the same program, digital media. I love how creative we can be in the class, and make personal connections with our work. I’ve learned material that will help with a future profession, like being an editor, or a writer. Being bipolar. It’s been a challenge with medications, seeing what works, what doesn’t, and frequently changing the medication to better treat it. Because of my bipolar disorder, sometimes I suddenly feel distanced from the fun I’m having with my friends, and it’s hard to get back to my fun self. But I’m hopeful that I will get past it, and get better over this year. When I’m in my writing, I feel safe, and at home. I’m not speaking out loud, which makes things easier to say. There’s a quote I like that says “if you don’t see the book you want, write it”, and sometimes I use that quote to write something of my own.
