I’m Dominique, I am in the nursing program. When I grow up I would like to be in the healthcare field just like my parents. I was born and raised in the Philippines for eleven years, and due to Typhoon Haiyan, my family and I decided to move to the U.S. We moved to a small town in Texas called Alpine for two years, and now im in Las Vegas… after a few years of living here, I’m still pretty shocked that I live in Vegas... to live in the “Entertainment Capital of the World.” After school I go to Victory Martial Arts and do karate. For the past few months I’ve been competing and earned two state champion titles. And just recently, my martial art demo team called “Summerlin Shockwave” performed at the half-time show for the Harlem Globetrotters. It was such a fun experience to be able to perform in front of hundreds and hundreds of people, and that might just make it to my list of favorite memories.
